Do I need to be an America’s Christian Credit Union member to apply for a Medical Loan?

You do not need to be a member of ACCU to apply for a Medical Loan. However, you’ll need to be a Medi-Share member in good standing to obtain a Medical Loan, which also qualifies an applicant for membership. In fact, many Medi-Share members who became subscribers before March of 2018 automatically became ACCU members entitling them to all available services ACCU has to offer.

What are the basic requirements to obtain a Medical Loan?

You must be employed or have a verifiable source of income, the ability to repay the debt, and a stable credit history. Our minimum credit score to approve a Medical Loan is 640. Your exact rate will be set based on several factors, including collateral in addition to your credit score.

Are Medical Loans unsecured or collateralized?

The short answer is both. A Medical Loan may be unsecured or collateralized depending on each applicant’s unique situation, budget and interest rates desired. There may even be instances where a combination of secured and unsecured loans will be made to accommodate an applicant’s need. As a general rule, unsecured loans are priced at a higher rate and have a shorter term than collateralized loans.
