Is America’s Christian Credit Union FDIC insured?

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) provides deposit insurance for banks, while credit unions are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The NCUA is an independent agency of the U.S. federal government that insures deposits at federally insured credit unions, including America’s Christian Credit Union up to $250,000 per depositor, equal to the FDIC’s coverage for banks. Additionally ACCU also has private insurance for deposits in excess of federal limits through American Share insurance up to $450,000 for personal members and $350,000 for organizational (business) members.

Through the Co-Op network ACCU has access to over 30,000 fee-free ATMs and over 5,600 shared branches to provide convenient access to funds and services, both locally and nationwide.

*As part of our validation process, we do a credit inquiry using Experian. You will need to unlock your credit profile prior to submitting your membership application in order to expedite the account opening process.
