“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, [a] so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
– Colossians 1:9-10
The promise of a brighter future is given to all. But how do you get there? At America’s Christian Credit Union it is our mission to give you the tools to become empowered in each stage of life. Whether you are saving for retirement, fixing your credit, learning to be a good financial steward or embarking on a new journey we are here to help. We have the tools that can help you build a stronger future.
One initiative we focus on is the effect of Christian higher education. We believe education is the fuel for a brighter and stronger future. Our commitment runs deep, striking partnerships with other Christ-centered institutions and students across the country and developing financial solutions to address the growing tuition bill.
In late 2016, with a mustard seed of faith, we funded the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU)’s Economic Impact Study. The study revealed that the work of Christ-centered institutions has an economic impact worth $60 billion annually, which translates to $166 million per day. In addition, it was found that the students of CCCU member institutions contribute 5.4 million hours of community service each year.
“If we want to be effective communicators of the full value of Christian higher education, we must know the vital statistics of how and why Christian colleges impact their locality, their state, and the nation, We are grateful for the leaders at ACCU, who recognize both the value of Christian colleges and universities and the need for this research.”
– CCCU President Shirley V. Hoogstra
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”
– Isaiah 1:17
We believe in building stronger families. From finances to family, we are here to serve. In 2009, we made the decision to create our adoption financing program, an initiative to help more orphans find their forever family. Since this program’s origination, we have been recognized by state representatives and adoption-supporting organizations like the Dave Thomas Adoption Foundation and the National Council for Adoption. Thanks in large part to the publicity and prestige that accompanied these honors, we have been able to help place over 2,000 orphans into the families they have dreamed about.
“Your organization made a huge difference in our adoption process! We could not have done it without you. We are so thankful for the adoption grant to help out with the many costs of having a new baby. We are so blessed to have found you.”
– The Fulghum Family“We are very pleased to partner with America’s Christian Credit Union in ensuring children in this country and across the world find families through adoption.”
– Chuck Johnson, President/CEO, National Council for Adoption
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
– Hebrews 10:24
At America’s Christian Credit Union, we believe in banking with a purpose. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our community and beyond. This mission has been entrusted to us two-fold. First, as God has called believers in unity to do his work together. Second, the credit union principle of member helping member extends to our community. We proudly take active roles in numerous events and committees. Our efforts include: fundraising, charitable donations, financial contributions, event sponsorships, financial education seminars, staff support, and much more!
Since 2005, we have called the city of Glendora, California our home. We consistently participate in various community activities, from Chamber of Commerce events to Movies in the Park during summer nights. It has been said, “If there is an event in this city, ACCU is there” and we take great pride in our community involvement.
Month in and month out, we seek opportunities to activate, encourage and support our communities for the hope of a stronger tomorrow; whether through educational, financial, ministry or other means.
“We can’t say enough good things about ACCU! Being members for a long time and having done all of our banking with ACCU, we knew they had a heart for the greater body of Christ and the communities it serves but to see it in real life is nothing short of spectacular. Our daughter Naiya was in need of a service dog so we reached out to see if they [ACCU] could help. Immediately, we got a phone call back saying they were able to help. Through their Visa GiveBack Program and funds their employees pledged personally, we were able to raise the funds we needed to bring Naiya’s service dog home. We are blown away and so grateful to the ACCU team!”
– Kelly Schlenz, Assistant Director, Idyllwild Pines
“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation’.”
– Mark 16:15
Ministry is in our roots, it’s who we are and what we do. As a leader in Church Finance, day in and day out our dedicated staff works diligently to serve ministries across the United States. We work tirelessly helping pastors and senior ministry staff to build strong, lasting ministries as they work to transform the lives of Christians within their community.
Beginning in 1958, five ministers began Nazarene Credit Union to serve the financial needs of fellow Nazarene ministers in California. In 1993, we expanded our reach from serving ministers personal needs to serve the church as a whole through church loans and business accounts.
With our most recent expansion as America’s Christian Credit Union we are able to serve many denominations within the Christian faith in both personal banking needs and church finance. As we grow and expand to serve the Kingdom, funds entrusted to America’s Christian Credit Union allow us to serve more than 1,200 ministries each year.
“We knew from our experience in 2008, that being with people whose heart is about ministry as much as it is about business, that made a difference… We want to be (banking) with people who love God and are going to give us everything they can.”
– Kevin Relyea
